We took off for a little camping weekend to celebrate Chad's birthday and the wildflowers put on quite a show for him. The Carrizo Plain and the Antelope Valley were probably close to peaking for the the wildflower season. Abe liked to eat the flowers. He didn't seem to care that there is a hefty fine for picking California Poppies. We also checked out Taft and the oil museum there. I think I'm pretty sure I don't want to live in Taft.
Abe and I think we are pretty lucky to have a guy like Chad around. Happy 33!
