Abe seems to like him too and was marveling at his eyes and toes and giving him kisses shortly after introduction. River gave him a bus for his birthday (one of Abe's current obsessions) and so I think that took the edge off of any anxiety Abe may have initially experienced. Abe's attempt at saying River sounds like "woowoo" which I think is pretty cute and was one of the options for names anyway. (that is a joke for any of you who may think the name River is just as out there as Woowoo)
After a traumatic delivery and recovery with Abe, I had a lot of anxiety about how this guy would make his appearance. Fortunately it was like night and day, and this time I was home and feeling pretty good less than 24hours after delivery.

Those are some really great pictures! Who took them-- I love the one of all of you guys and also of Abe holding him. It is very sweet.

Nobody else thinks that's weird that he was born "July 27th"? :) As far as I know we haven't had that day yet, but still being a new mom myself, I'm not even sure. :)
That kid sounds like he belongs in our family! I think River is pretty common now, I wouldn't think of it as out there at all. Of course that's coming from me. :) We need to live closer someday so we can have boy parties all the time!!! That's awesome Abe is fond of him. The twins still won't voluntarily acknowledge or come in contact with Diesel. Congrats!!!!
